"When I first went to the Hunter in 1959, there was no food or accommodation of any kind.

We stayed at a pub in Cessnock which offered roast dinners every night of the year without air-conditioning. Visits to wineries were rare (there were only six of them) and mostly of a group party nature.

Blaxlands Restaurant

The latest addition to the Tower Estate group is the newly renovated Blaxlands restaurant on Broke Rd, Pokolbin.

With the introduction of all day licensed dining from 11am till late, and a new seasonal menu, makes it the perfect location for a late lunch on the terrace or sampling the daily specials for dinner.

The restaurant can seat up to 100 people with the comfort of an open fire and a private dining room is available seating up to 40 people.
