Winepros' Notes

Wine background
Sixty per cent is crushed, 40 per cent whole bunch pressed, followed by cold-fermentation in stainless steel.

James Halliday Mar 04 2000 Rating: 86 out of 100

Light green-yellow; the bouquet is light, very crisp and tending minerally rather than fruity. The palate is spotlessly clean and quite intense; it is feel rather than flavour which gives the wine its impact. Very interesting.

James Halliday Nov 24 2003 Rating: 94 out of 100

Strong straw-green colour is a promising start, confirmed by the near-luscious stone fruit, baked apple and spice aromas of the bouquet; just when you think the wine is going to be over the top, intense, lingering acidity cuts right across the fruit, giving a zesty juiciness to the palate. One of many brilliant wines to come from the justly revered 1996 vintage.
