Summary:
In the wake of its acquisition by the Birch family, the emphasis has switched from the Great Southern; a splendid new winery has been constructed in the Margaret River region (incorporating Feng Shui principles) to complement the (near new) Denmark winery. Howard Park has 230 hectares of estate and selected long-term contract vineyards in all of the best regions for cool climate fruit production in southern Western Australia. The philosophy is to source fruit from the region best suited to a particular variety, thus flagship Howard Park Cabernet Merlot has Cabernet Sauvignon from Margaret River and Mount Barker with Cabernet Franc from the Frankland River and Merlot from Pemberton. Exports to the US, Canada, New Zealand, UK, Belgium, Switzerland,Spain, Italy, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan.
