Australian wine regions
Australia is a large country - Margaret River is further from the Hunter Valley than Jerez in Spain is from Tokaji in Hungary - so, despite the distinctive national approach to wine, Australian wines are not all the same. The wines of Margaret River and of the Hunter Valley differ as much as sherry and tokay do. The three most important wine-producing states are South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales. As well as bulk production, they each have specific premium wine regions.

Summary:
Like a phoenix from the ashes, Murray Robson Wines rises once again, having reopened in its new location in February 1997. Four hectares of estate plantings are supplemented by grapes purchased from other growers in the valley; the initial releases from 1996 were all produced in tiny quantities of 150 cases or less, produced and packaged with the irrepressible flair of Murray Robson and using the same label which appeared back in the early 1970s, each one hand-signed - as ever - by Murray Robson. Exports to the US, the UK and New Zealand. |
